In this sermon we learn about Priscilla and Aquila, a Jew and Gentile marriage. This marriage serves as an example of both how we overcome our cultural differences in Christ, and how we should strive together for the Kingdom of God even if it cost us greatly. This couple served Paul powerfully from A.D. 49-A.D. 65 and every time they are mentioned, they are mentioned together. On at least one occasion they risk their lives for Paul. In this sermon we get a history lesson on what was going on at the time in Rome, which puts what we know about this couple in context. What a blessing that the scripture gives us insight into the lives of real people with real struggles who have gone before us. Here is a Godly Christian couple that we should look to an an example. Additional scriptures referenced in this sermon are Proverbs 31:10-31, I Peter 3:1-7, and John 2:1-11.
